£555 is far too much

Stagecoach recently announced the price of an Annual UniRider for the 26/27 academic year.
Since last year it’s gone up by well over 40%!
From September, students taking the short 10 minute bus journey to campus from their student house will have to pay £555 for the privilege. Not only that, but the new Annual UniRider only covers 9 months of the year (the same as the old Terms 1+2+3 Pass). That means an inexplicable increase of 42.6%!
Price in 24/25: £360
Price in 25/26: £389 (+8%%)
Price for 26/27: £555!!! (+42.6%!!!)
If you live a little further away (e.g. Preston, Garstang, Blackpool or Kendal), you’ll have to pay an eye-watering £950 just to get the bus to Uni.
“A bus can sometimes be the only safe way home.”
“Students with disabilities are being left at a disadvantage.”
I wasn’t particularly happy with this radical price hike, and neither are you!
