Lancaster University Students’ Union is committed to ensuring you have a fulfilling student life.
And we work towards that goal by getting involved in every bit of the life of the university, providing a huge number of services designed to make your time here as fun, fulfilling and fantastic as it can be.
Every student automatically becomes a member of the union, and we’re here to support you in every aspect of student life.
We support our student clubs and societies, provide recreational and competitive sporting opportunities, co-ordinate volunteering projects, run environmental and sustainability projects and so much more.
Above all, our elected student officers and dedicated staff team are here to stand up for you and make sure your academic and extra-curricular experience is everything it should be. If you need support during your time with us, our advice service is here to help with all aspects of student life – including your course, exams, disciplinaries, budgeting, health & wellbeing, and more.

Our societies team facilitates over 160 affiliated societies at the Students’ Union.
Welcome Desk
You can find us in Bowland Main West Wing, right between the learning zone and University House. We are number 28 on this map.
The Welcome Desk team offers general information about the union and the university. They also handle sales of Unirider Bus passes, event tickets and offers fax, thermal binding, laminating, and photocopying services.
