The Students' Union is a democratic, charitable organisation led by our members, students at Lancaster University. The bye-laws, terms of reference, policies, and other documents outline how we work as a democratic organisation and the procedures, protocols, and processes we follow.

Articles of Association

The articles define the Students' Union as a charitable, member-led organisation.

Bye-laws

The bye-laws define how the Students' Union's democracy works. They can only be amended by a vote at Union Assembly and Trustee Board.

terms Of reference

Terms of Reference are the rules and regulations that define the work of Students' Union executives who are sub-committees of Union Assembly.

Policy

Periodically the members of the Students' Union set policy for the organisation via Union Assembly or referenda.
