Sugarhouse Freshers Week Wrap Up
Welcome Week went OFF at Sugar!
Last week was, of course, Welcome Week. And as JLS once said, the club was alive! From thousands of you on the dancefloor to keeping students hydrated, supported, and safe all week long, the Sugarhouse numbers speak for themselves.
8 back-to-back nights!
Woo! Let us just wipe the sweat from our brow, because 8 nights!
For every day of Welcome Week, we ended things at Sugar – starting with our move in parties, and then:
Project Jungle
Cheeseday
Laser Show
Redbull Takeover
Freshers 360
Plus, a closing party feat. BL3SS!
12,329 Attendees
And when you guys show up, you really show up – 12,329 of you in fact!
1,085 Buzzballs
Where there’s a club night, there’s drinks. Over the course of Welcome Week, you guys managed to drink 1,085 Buzzballs total!
900 Free Drinks Vouchers
Welcome Week at Lancaster wouldn’t be what it is without our fabulous Junior Common Room Executives (JCRs.) These are the guys welcoming you to Lancaster, introducing you to campus, and taking you on your first nights out!
So, it’s only fair that we gave them 900 free drinks vouchers! Thank you guys!
£19,320 paid to Student Staff
The Sugarhouse is run for students, by students. That means when you have fun at Sugar, not only are you putting money back into the student experience, but you’re supporting your fellow students too!
Our student staff are crucial to the planning, running, and execution of every night at Sugar – from bartending to cleaning!
Thousands of free waters and biscuits
Because you’ve gotta stay hydrated on a night out!
Nights out aren’t always about partying till the sun comes up – sometimes, it’s also about that quick little snack that keeps you going. And during Welcome Week, we provided thousands of free waters and biscuits to students at Sugar.
8 days of welfare support
At LUSU, we care about making sure your experience is everything it should be. This includes keeping you safe and happy on a night out.
At each Sugar night throughout Welcome Week, we provided you with welfare support at every hour. From anti-spiking measures and a welfare room to trained staff ready to help.
And of course, this doesn’t just stop at Welcome Week!
In fact, the fun continues again this Wednesday 7th October with our VK Party: VKs on the Beach! Keep the vibes going and join us by grabbing your tickets from the link here.
Happy Michaelmas term!
