Description

Hi, 2023-2024 Students!

We host weekly shoots at the Crabtree Clay Pigeon Shooting Ground (roughly 20-minute drive) on Wednesdays and fortnightly, members-only, Saturday or Sunday shoots at varying grounds. We are a friendly and relaxed club in which all are welcome, no prior experience is necessary and all equipment is provided. Wednesday shoots meet outside Aldi in town at 13.15 pm or Bowland Avenue at 13:30 pm, and Saturday/Sunday shoot details TBC.

As mentioned, we are a relaxed club so it is not mandatory nor expected of you to attend each session!

To book onto a session just send the club a Facebook or Instagram message.

All new shooters (with us) are required to take a taster shoot costing £35 (includes transport, tuition, 25 clays and 25 cartridges). After completing a taster shoot you will be invited to purchase an annual society membership for £35 after which the rates for shooting will be significantly cheaper. Students currently in possession of a shotgun certificate are not required to complete a taster shoot and are able to shoot with their own cartridges if desired. A £10 deposit is required before each session and is refundable from the session cost.

Taster shoots can become booked up very quickly due to limited spaces so you may have to be booking up to 5 weeks in advance.

We shoot in several competitions across the country, including BUCS, throughout the year as well as hosting our own invitational competition, the Lancaster Cup, each year. Please see our Facebook and Instagram for more details and photos.

We shoot in all weathers so recommend members to dress appropriately similarly, please wear firm footware and bring a coat/gilet/fleece with deep and strong pockets to hold cartridges.

It is our intention hold an informational talk at the beginning of the year but details TBC.
