Students will showcase a selection of union activities as part of Lancaster University’s Community Day 2017.
Hosted on campus on Saturday May 6, everyone is welcome to enjoy an action-packed day of activities showcasing the amazing work done by Lancaster’s students and staff.
There will be loads of student-led activities to discover on the day. They include:
- Have a go at being a TV presenter with LA1:TV (LICA A27)
- Find out about the work of our Defying Dementia society (County Main SR7)
- See a student performance of the Legally Blonde musical (Nuffield Theatre)
- Visit the TEDx Village run by organisers of this year’s TEDx LancasterU conference (Great Hall Foyer)
- Discover the work students do on our sustainable food projects (Ecohub)
Elsewhere on campus there’ll be a big selection of activities for all the family:
- Go on a (Bonington) Bear Hunt - an interactive trail for preschool children
- Perform an operation with Lancaster Medical School
- Visit the Lakes without leaving campus using Minecraft
- Try out an 8.5m climbing wall, trampolining and other sports
- Take a walk through the woods on our Woodland Trail
- Local food and drink festival…and much more!
