NUS President Malia Bouattia took part in a lively panel discussion on the future of HE on campus this week.

She was joined at the students' union-organised event by our Vice-President (Education) Nick Dearman, PhD student Lizzie Houghton and Lancaster University's Senior Research Development Manager Dr Odette Dewhurst.

The panellist each offered a brief overview of their position on the Government's Higher Education and Research Bill and took questions from students on the detail of the legislation and the possible consequences for Lancaster.

Prior to the panel discussion, Malia Bouattia took part in a productive meeting with members of the Lancaster University Jewish Society.
