Musician Evie Plumb has released a debut single with her band just weeks after bringing her time at university to a close with a performance at Grad Ball.

Evie is the singer and keyboard player in Lowes. who released ‘Awake at Night’ last week. It has already received radio airplay as well as the attention of the music industry.

The Grizedale student graduated this summer with a degree in Politics and International Relations, and was one of the student performers at this year’s Grad Ball, held at Blackpool Tower. She played numerous gigs on campus and in Lancaster during her time as a student and also entertained visitors at a recent university open day.

The singer and keyboard player formed Lowes. with guitarist Jamie Walker and drummer Luke Paget.

Evie said: “The band met while circulating on the Lancaster music scene and decided to do some song-writing together. The group clicked immediately and we decided to spend more and more time writing songs and developing our sound.

“I now plan on giving the music scene a good go, while saving up to do a couple of months travelling in Nepal and Indonesia this winter.”

‘Awake at Night’ is available on iTunes, Spotify, SoundCloud and Bandcamp. Find out more on the band’s Facebook page.
