We’re urging all eligible students to use their vote in the snap General Election on June 8.

You’ve got until Monday May 22 to get yourself on the electoral register either in Lancaster or at your home address â€“ you can do it online and it only takes five minutes.

You'll need your National Insurance number.

Students’ Union Vice-President (Union Development) Sophie Tarif said: “We want as many of our members as possible to have their say in who will form our next Government.

“Whatever the outcome of the election, the result is going to have a huge impact on the lives and futures of the young people who make up the vast majority of our membership.

“This could be the most important election of our lifetimes, so it’s more important than ever that the student voice is heard.”
