This year, we are reimagining the annual Freshers' Fair to welcome you to Lancaster, whether that's for the first time or the first time in a long time
From live performances to tantalizing food stalls, striking surroundings and countless experiences, Freshers' Fest promises to kick off the new academic year like never before.
Walk down with your college for smoke flairs and celebrations before entering the festival and meeting your students' union at the Union Hub, where you'll be greeted with live music, glitter paint, bouncy castles and even a mini zoo. Plus, hundreds of student groups, businesses, societies and sports clubs await in the Main Hall offering countless opportunities to try something new... and bag a few freebies.
Taking place on October 6th from 12-5pm (including an 11-12pm accessibility and PG early bird hour) at the Sports Centre and Grounds, this is your opportunity to find your people and have some fun.
Colleges will be walking down at set times for themed celebrations including flares in your college colours! Colleges will be meeting to walk down at the following times:

COVID Entry Requirements
Freshers' Fest is open to all students and as with all of our large scale events (including all Sugarhouse events), you will need to show evidence of a negative Covid result or an NHS Covid Pass to gain entry. At present we can only accept the NHS Covid Passes as we can verify they are valid. Unfortunately, we do not have access to any system to validate EU or other Covid vaccine records.
Free testing kits are available to collect on campus and in town. Packs will include detailed step-by-step instructions on how to take the test at home and upload your result to receive the confirmation text or email. While we will accept test results received within 48 hours of the event, we recommend taking the test within 24 hours of the event.
Please check the full entry details carefully before attending.
