What I do and How I can be of help:

In a way... I'm basically the Union's Vice President, Chair and Social Secretary all rolled into one! My job is to oversee LUSU's day-to-day management, to help glue our Union together and to be the pivotal cog which pushes it forward on a daily basis to gain the best for the students here. I am a Trustee of the Union, the Officer who both the students and staff alike trust to be responsible for student democracy, with an in-depth knowledge of the Union Constitution, and am strongly relied upon to meet the Union’s legal and financial obligations.

I am the primary representative for student democracy, taking the lead overseeing all campus elections and making sure they are fair and just. I also have a large role in respect of Freshers Week, Extravs and Grad Ball, and continually liaise with the JCR Exec's in respect of social activities, and various other issues. One of my other primary roles is in regards to Societies. I sit on SUEC, the governing forum for Societies to speak out for what they require from the Union and successfully liaise with one another.

If you have any questions or queries regarding any of the above, don't hesitate to contact me or just pop down to the office :o)

What do you hope to achieve with a year in office?

I would hope to achieve all the aims I set out in my manifesto for example to increase societies space, implement e-voting, increase publicity on and off campus for bar promotions, the purplecard, retail and the sugarhouse. To work upon incentives already in place such as Friday Fury and to gain better offers for the Purple Card. I also hope that I manage to run successful elections, a smooth Freshers Week and oversee some exciting Extrav's!

More importantly, I want to enjoy myself, do a good job, have fun, and gain the best out of this experience for myself and the students around me.

Likes:

Boppin' on the dance floor, spending time with friends & fam, anything that makes me laugh, lots of different sports, Boston Legal and the almighty BWFC.

Dislikes:

Wasps and Bees - they are evil *shudders*.

Best thing about uni:

Most definitely the people you meet, the friends you make, and the Collegiate system too.

Three things I would take to a desert island:

A Jet Ski, my ipod and Johnny Depp please!

Favourite Drink:

As much as it pains me to admit it... I'm a bit of a lager lass, failing that I'll have a tea, two sugars please

One Interesting fact About You:

I used to Cheerlead for Bolton Wanderers... good times!

Future job/career after Sabb:

I'd like to travel round South America for a while - then complete my Law Practice Course and go on to work in Human Rights Law to help try and save the world! I want an Aston Martin too… but I’ve heard they cost a LOT of pennies…
