Just Play Snow sports are back for the next academic year. This year we will be providing our students with the opportunity to try skiing and snowboarding as well as making lots of new friends.
The difference to the two sports is that skiing involves fixed heel bindings on each foot as oppose to snowboarding which involves both feet fastened onto the same board through boots mounted to the bindings.
The six week course includes transport to and from Rossendale Dry Ski Slope as well as six lessons from a qualified instructor. Equipment hire is also included as well as a lift pass.
Beginner lessons are great fun and lasts just under 2 hours. The lesson group consists of individuals of a similar ability so you can all enjoy the journey together. New Just Play Skier Michelle tells us: "I've always wanted to ski and it's been amazing to final get the opportunity whilst at university. I've now planned to go on the Snowsports trip and can't wait to get to know all of the club whilst doing a new sport I love".
The next course will be taking place on Thursday 7-9pm evenings during term 1 on the following weeks:
- Transport to the sessions is provided and atendees need to meet at George Fox for 6pm.
All equipment is provided and Activators will be on hand throughout the session to support participants.
