Roses 2017
Get ready for another epic sporting clash when Lancaster's athletes travel to York in the hope of defending last year's Roses win. We'd like to see as many Lancaster supporters at the event as possible to cheer our teams to victory, and will be offering a limited number of return travel packages for supporters.
Competitors
Your team has been allocated a number of seats for competitors. You need to book yours now if you need transport or a coach seat will not be allocated. Once you have booked your seat we will email you a e-ticket with details. Please read and bring it with you on your journey.
Club Member Supporters
If you're in a club but not competing, we have some spaces allocated by your captains. It's £15 and means you can travel with the team as a club supporter. Once you have booked we will email you an e-ticket with details. Please read and bring it with you on your journey.
Supporters Packs
If you just love the atmosphere and can't wait to see us beat York, we have a great deal for you. Book a supporters pack and we'll get you there and back and give you a bunch of goodies. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Monday March 20 and will be in limited numbers, so sign up quick to be sure of bagging your place. Packs will be collected from the welcome desk in week 1 for everyone who has got in before they sell out.
Pack includes:
- Travel to York and from York.
- ‘Crash’ accommodation (lecture theatre floors in York uni).
- I am Lancaster t-shirt, and other freebies

Opening ceremony tickets
Men's basketball will be the showcase sport at this year's Roses opening ceremony at York Sports Centre Arena, Friday April 28, 6pm - 9pm.
We've got a limited number of seated and standing tickets available for this highly-anticipated clash as the battle for the Roses 2017 title gets underway!

If you have selected a competitor seat and are not in the team you are taking a space away from a competitor. Please contact us if you have made an error (help@lusu.co.uk)
All tickets by default will be valid for a return journey on Sunday. If you have requested an earlier return we will endevour to provide you a seat. Until you receive confirmation assume you will be returning Sunday

- Events run by societies, clubs, student groups and colleges may have additional terms and conditions. Please make sure you check your ticket details.
- Unless specified by the organising group, all tickets are non-refundable.
- The right of entry is reserved at all events.
- Breach of conditions or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall result in the patron being ejected from the premises.
- Unless specified, tickets are sold for an unreserved standing event.
- Tickets cannot be exchanged, transferred or resold for commercial gain.
- The Students’ Union reserves the right to alter or vary the content or timing of the whole or any part of the event due to circumstances beyond reasonable control without being obliged to refund or exchange tickets.
- The Students’ Union cannot take any responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property brought to an event.
- There will be photographers, videographers and live-streaming on site at some Students’ Union events. By purchasing tickets you are accepting that photographs may be taken of you during the event and that these may be released into the public domain; examples of uses include, though are not limited to, publication on the Students’ Union Facebook page, Students’ Union website and our publications.
