Just Play Futsal
Futsal is the only form of indoor football approved by FIFA, UEFA and the FA. With over 2 million players regularly participating in fast-paced 5-aside action, that rewards good technique and game intelligence, futsal is globally recognised as one of the fastest growing indoor sports in the world.
Stepping up to the Futsal Activator role this year, Ross Penlington said:
“Arriving as a fresher last year, I’d always played 11 a side football and had never heard of futsal, but regardless of this I thought I’d go along and give it a go. Little did I know I’d end up loving the sport and attending the futsal session every week making lots of new friends, keeping fit and learning all about a new sport!”
After 12 months of being involved in the project as a participant, Ross’s sheer passion for futsal has inspired him to take a leading role as an Activator this year and get more involved in sports leadership opportunities at Lancaster University.
Student and Just Play regular; Michal said: “I’ve really enjoyed coming to the Just Play sessions, the relaxed atmosphere is really welcoming for students that just want to play for fun!”
Just Play Futsal is extremely popular at the university with more students than ever choosing to get involved in the latest sports craze!
