Professor Green has seen top 10 success with Just Be Good To Me, UK number 1 Read All About It and many more. This year he will be headlining Grad Ball 2017 in the Tower Ball Room
One of the UK’s biggest pop acts, with 4 number 1 singles and 5 top albums, S Club 7 have reunited as a 3 piece with lead singers Jo Omeara, Bradley Mcintosh & Tina Barrett and will be taking over the stage at Grad Ball as S Club 3.
Over the last few years Danny Howard has ascended up the ranks to become one of the UK’s most prominent dance music advocates. As well as a constant flow of gigs around the globe, the Blackpool-born selector pulls in 1.8million listeners every weekend with his ‘Dance Anthems’ show on Radio 1, together with a weekly appearance on America’s SiriusXM and his own Nothing Else Matters online mix show. A DJ, producer, label owner and renowned tastemaker, Danny stands in a class of his own and represents the very best that the UK has to offer.
After winning Radio 1’s talent search in 2011, Danny swiftly assembled a multi-faceted empire, which revolves around his resolute passion for house music.
Student acts, Atlas, Jonathan Doyle, Jonathan Parks and Marco Tamimi will be joining us at the tower and Ruby Beach will be opening the main stage in the Ball Room. Sugarhouse DJ Jack Sprigg is set to return to the Grad Ball stage this year after his epic set in 2016.

“Great way to end three years”
The Ball this year will be held at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Blackpool Tower is an amazing Grade 1 listed building which opened in 1894. The elegant Tower Ballroom, which has hosted BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, provides a suitably grand setting for the main entertainments at this year’s ball.
“100% worth the money. Great event in such a prestigious venue.”
More to look forward to
Before the Ball gets into full swing, your ticket also includes chance to enjoy a stunning performance from Blackpool Tower’s famous circus – with astonishing acrobats, daredevil feats and, of course, the clowns!
Take a trip to the top of the tower for stunning views across the sea where there will be more live music from student bands and photo opportunities thanks to Lancaster University Alumni team!
“Beautiful venue, loved the circus overall great event!”
Busses to Blackpool Tower will leave from the Underpass at 7pm and will pick up from campus only.
Return busses will start leaving Blackpool Tower at 1:30am through to 3am when the last bus will leave.
Didn’t get a bus ticket?
There are trains from Lancaster to Blackpool (change at Preston) which take around 53 minutes and cost from around £9.85 with a 16-25 rail card, £14.90 without for an open return journey.
The 42 bus which leaves from the city centre and campus will cost around £7.50 and take about 1 hour 20 minutes.
There will be food available to purchase at the Tower from its onsite facilities, or alternatively you are more than welcome to use your entry wristband to come and go from the venue should you wish to get food in the town centre. Please be aware that you will need your wristband on you at all times to re-enter the tower.
The Tower has a number of bars on site that will happily cater for your refreshment needs throughout the night. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased from any of these bars, though please note that you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol into the Tower.
“10 out of 10 night out. Well done to all.”
