Do you want to play a big role in making the education at Lancaster as good as it can possibly be? Then you should stand for election as an academic rep!
Academic Reps are being appointed in all academic departments over the next couple of weeks. Nearly 400 Academic Reps get elected each year to represent the views and opinions of students.
As well as being a vital point of contact between departments and students, reps also get the opportunity to acquire new skills via our Rep Development Scheme, which offers free training sessions as well as experiences in volunteering, report writing, meeting skills, leadership and facilitation.
Departments will be in touch with students to explain arrangements for nominations and voting. This year more than 10 departments will be using new Moodle ‘student-only’ spaces to appoint their reps. They are:
