Students have chance to choose a new city councillor today.

Lancaster City Council is holding a bye-election to find a new representative for the University and Scotforth Rural Ward, which covers the campus.

This is a chance for students to have their say on local issues affecting the university and to elect a representative they feel most represents the student voice.

All students who are eligible to vote should have received a polling card in the post, containing information about which polling station to use. Polling stations on campus are at the Chaplaincy Centre and Barker House Farm.

Candidate listings and more information are available on the Lancaster City Council website
