Schools placement

There is a new opportunity for volunteering in schools.

A Morecambe School is looking for student volunteers to work with small groups of children (ages 7-11) to help improve their reading or maths skills. You need to be able to volunteer for one morning or afternoon per week to suit your timetable, and be able to commit for at least 6 weeks. The school is accessible by public transport and the cost of transport can be reimbursed through the Student’s Union. All students prior to starting will be required to attend a short interview and if successful will be expected to complete an Enhanced DBS check  and attend safeguarding training. If you’re looking to again experience working in a primary school, then this a is a great opportunity!

If you are interested please contact Amy Goodwin at a.goodwin3@lancaster.ac.uk
