And there is some news for competitors.
After last year’s record-breaking victory, Lancaster’s sights are set on an away victory at York.
This year the university has again agreed to take Roses into consideration when timetabling this year’s exams, and has said it will do its best to re-arrange exams for students who still have clashes if they are competing over the weekend.
Vice-President Jack Walker has worked closely with the university to agree planning of the exam timetable. He said: “This is a great show of the university’s commitment to making Roses as successful as when it is hosted at home, and it is great to see extracurricular activity being considered alongside students’ academic interests."
This comes after news that the university would be providing £83,500 towards sports development this year.
This year Roses is April 28 to 30 ... so save the date!
