Have you got an idea to help make your union better? We want to hear it!

You recently approved a new constitution for the union that includes big changes to the way decisions are made.

We know that students have got the best ideas about things their union should be doing - for example, last term some of you told us you'd like a puppy room on campus to help reduce exam stress so we worked with Graduate College and our Guide Dog society to make it happen.

From the start of the new academic year we’ll be introducing a new way of doing things designed to give all students more chance to make change in the union.

Every idea that’s sent in will be considered by the Union Executive. If your idea is practical and is what students want, the Executive will make it happen.

Ideas that need more thought will go to one of our new Student Juries, which will convene each term to consider proposals that have been put forward and make recommendations on behalf of all students. The diagram below explains the detail of how it will work.

If you want to make a change, big or small, you can suggest it via our new Ideas page. And you can also see what ideas have been put forward by other students – and vote for your favourites!
