Cartmel and Lonsdale Lead Carter Shield

On Sunday 27 the first Carter Shield of the year took place in conjunction with Just Play in the form of Dodge ball.  

94 people came down to play from 8 colleges with a special mention to Grizedale who brought down a crowd of 28 college members- players and supporters.

 

The tournament was split into two leagues and each college played each other once with the best of three games. The round then progressed to a final and play off for 3rd and 4th.

In league one- Pendle, Furness, Grizedale, Cartmel and Grad (who were unable to attend this time) and in League two- Fylde, Bowland, County Lonsdale.

 

It was a mini patriots in league one final when Cartmel and Furness went head to head, with Cartmel taking the win Pendle finished in 3rd and Grizedale 4th.

 

The league two final consisted of Lonsdale and Fylde, Lonsdale won after a 1-1 heading into a final decider game. Bowland finished 3rd and County 4th.

 

The table so far looks like this:

 

Cartmel- 4 Points

Lonsdale- 4 Points

Furness-3 Points

Fylde-3 Points

Bowland- 2 Points                                                               

Pendle- 2 Points

County- 1 Point

Grizedale- 1 Point

Graduate- O Points
