There are new rules for parking at the University sports centre from Monday 3rd October:

In the car park outside the sports centre, you must display a ticket and staff and student permits and scratchcards are not valid. Ticket prices apply for all the times the sports centre is open including weekends and evenings and there are no refunds available.

1-2 hours £2

Maximum stay 2 hours

You can also park in the sports field car park (off Green Lane – the driveway for Lancaster House Hotel)

If parking here for less than 2 hours between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday a (free) ticket is still required to be displayed in the vehicle. Any additional time will cost £1 per hour up to £5 for a full day’s parking. Parking charges on the Sports Field car park do not apply after 6pm Monday – Friday and at weekends.

The Sports Field car park has been extended. New lighting and footpath link to Bigforth Drive is being installed. Prior to completion of the new footpath link pedestrians should walk through the tennis courts between the Sports Field Car Park and Bigforth Drive.

Please be aware if you do not park within these guidelines your vehicle may be clamped with a £75 recovery charge.
