Last Friday over 50 graduate college students turned up for the first Summer football 6-a-side tournament down on the Astro (kindly provided by the University Sports Centre). It was an informal affair with members of teams reffing other matches; however that didn’t dampen the competitive spirit between the 7 teams who all wanted to be named the champions…

The event ran in two groups with the top two teams in each going through to semi-finals knockout. In a close fought final Grad 1 beat the Lions 1-0 to become the tournament champions. Well done Grad 1!
